The Great British Skip is a nationwide kindness campaign proving that kindness exists in every corner of the UK — and your school can be part of it.
On 18 August 2026, Krish will attempt to skip the length of the UK — 900 miles, 35 marathons, 35 days — uncovering stories of compassion and raising funds for kindness workshops and activities for children and young people in schools across the country.
At a time when many young people are experiencing anxiety, loneliness and social pressure, this campaign exists to remind children that kindness still matters — and that even the smallest act can create a powerful ripple effect.
Why your school should take part
More than a fundraiser. A national movement.
Inspire kindness in action
Kindness isn't something we just talk about — it's something we do. Pupils turn positive values into meaningful action and see the impact they can have on others.
Support children's wellbeing
Research shows acts of kindness improve wellbeing, increase belonging and help young people build stronger relationships.
Develop important life skills
Activities build empathy, teamwork, leadership, confidence and communication — skills that benefit pupils inside and outside the classroom.
Be part of something bigger
Schools across the UK will be joining together. Your pupils become part of a national story showing the power of community.
Support other young people
Funds raised help families living in poverty through 52 Lives and fund free kindness workshops in primary schools through The School of Kindness.
Help build a kinder future
Every act of kindness matters. Your school helps inspire the next generation to lead with compassion and build stronger communities.
How your school can get involved
Sponsored skipping, your way.
Schools can organise their own sponsored skipping activities to raise money while promoting wellbeing, movement and teamwork. Every fundraising skip helps support the delivery of more fully funded kindness workshops for children across the UK.

Everything you need to get your school involved in The Great British Skip.
There are two simple ways for your school community to support The Great British Skip and help raise funds for 52 Lives and The School of Kindness.
Option 1: Fundraise & Donate
Host your own fundraiser – a Skipathon, bake sale, non-uniform day, kindness challenge or sponsored event – and donate the funds raised directly to The Great British Skip through GiveStar.
Downloadable sponsorship forms are also available for pupils to collect sponsorship from family and friends.
Want to track your school's progress and celebrate what you've raised? Create your own GiveStar fundraising page as part of The Great British Skip event. You'll receive a unique fundraising link to share with families and supporters, set your own target, personalise your page, and see your contribution added to the overall Great British Skip total.
Together, we can help bring kindness to life and ensure more children across the UK can access free kindness workshops through the School of Kindness.

And, who knows, you may even have a chance of connecting with Krish on the online assembly to say hello...
